Hello I wonder if you can help me and whether i can explain this properly

When i type a sentence obviously normally the sentence would just appear from left to right as i type, however for no reason my sentence gets disrupted by my sentence then re starting wherever my mouse cursor might be thus messing up my sentence completely. Plus if i am writing a new email on outlook, if the mouse cursor is hovering over the send button whilst writing my email, suddenly it may just send with out me finishing my email. its very annoying

can you please help

thanks

This is a common problem with many new laptops. Frankly there does not seem to be a satisfactory answer. The consensus seems to be that this is relates to the touchpad combined with typing style. I finally resolved the problem by moving the laptop away from me and started to use a wireless keyboard as my main input method. The problem has completely disappeared and as a side benefit I have eliminated both back strain and eyestrain in the process. Leaning over a laptop with the screen in your face can't be good for you.

Some people suggest disabling the touchpad but that would create a major annoyance when you actually want to use your machine away from its normal spot. If it is out of reach it cannot cause you any problem.

This problem is so widespread that I attribute it to design flaw as opposed to a function that you can adjust.

Most touchpads have a way to stop movement while your typing. It is in the options, or if yours is a Synaptics l find it in the options for that.

While I am not all that sure it would solve the problem I would be interested in finding that setting. Mine is synaptics, pretty new laptop and I can find no such setting. Which is not to suggest that it isn't there. Just that I can't find it. There are many things I can't find these days. :)

I forget I can't edit here ;)

If you are referring to sensitivity setting there are two that you can minimize but I think you will find that while it may help a bit, it will not eliminate the problem. The mouse pointer converts the the insert curser (The I shaped one ) without much prompting.
