From event viewer i am getting this

Event Type: Error

Event Source: Service Control Manager

Event Category: None

Event ID: 7000

Date: 25/03/2008

Time: 14:05:03

User: N/A

Computer: ADOBE

Description:

The PRISMSVC service failed to start due to the following error:

The system cannot find the file specified.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

I have tried to follow it up but the problem still exists

So far I have updated all drivers that there were updates available for and

run a memory check and as i said the problem is still there

Any help would be great

Regards Alan

Looks like a component of a Conextant Wireless LAN support

program. Do you have a Conextant Wireless card installed ? If

not then you need to either use Regedit and set the service start

mode to disabled (4) or completely remove the service.

The file location is: C:\WINDOWS\system32\PRISMSVC.EXE. Look for the file if

its there.

Also see this:

Re: PC restarting by itself

Display BIOS and disable 'wake on LAN'.
