muppet rebecca Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Okies here's the thing I have like a 6 year old step-brother who likes to play on-line games however the majority of on-line games need adobe shockwave player to work. Now did use to have it on the computer and it was running fine, now somehow it stops working and when you try to go on a game it tells you to download plug-in content....you go to do that to then get told that the file already exists on the computer and do you want to overwrite or run existing file....which ever one I choose it acts as if it's installing adobe then it says successfully completed...close the window and I have to do it all over again... This is the same with adobe air, flash player and acrobat reader....now I've tried un installing all of them to the point I've had to search through the registry manually and my folders to delete left overs....now it wont re-install any of the adobes and keeps telling me there already installed on the computer.... You think DAP (download accelerator plus) might be causing problems...I've never known it to cause problems before....Any help would be appreciated...thanks Quote
RandyL Posted May 8, 2010 Posted May 8, 2010 Disable DAP. Download and save the shockwave uninstaller. Adobe - Web Players Run the uninstaller. Reboot the computer. Download and save Windows Shockwave Player 9.0.0.434 Run the installer. Quote We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else.
