OK so i will go through the problem i have.

I have a Fujitsu siemens laptop Amilo Li 2727 bought it about 2 years ago has been fine since.

Originally windows vista os.

Ram: 2GB

processor: 1.8ghz intel dual core

Graphic card: GMA integrated

HDD: 180GB

First off i installed a joypad to my system to play a game and kept getting error messages on the BSOD. A few days later i turned on my system and fujitsu recovery came up attempting to repair my system but was unsuccessful. restart the system again and there is nothing there no OS nothing.

So i download iso image for windows vista and attempt to re install vista formatting all drives but no luck i get error message about corrupt files during extraction point.

So now i try windows 7 disc and i get same error. so i have a look through some forums and find out it could be my ISO or burning software, so i put it on the usb and try again still no luck same error.

I now get very fed up and try installing ubuntu from disk and installation just freezes during copying files process. I then try it on usb and same problem occurs.

I have no idea what happening here but i keep getting these error messages during windows installation or i get the BSOD during installation with a different error code every time. Please help me i just need to get an operating system working on my computer.

So have you been into the BIOS and changed the first boot device to CD/DVD rom if using a CD/DVD and disabled the rest??

for USB you would need to set the first boot device to USB (if there is an option for it as there isnt always)

when this is done it should start the install process after the post screen.... it will say booting from cd/dvd press any key to continue...then do just that, it will ask where you want the OS installing to (at which point you can FORMAT the drive and then reinstall or INSTALL to an existing partition) if you have already use partitioning tools then I would say go for the first option as you may well and truly have nerfed the partitions and starting a fresh is the best option unless you have a recovery partition that can be accessed after the BIOS post (are you sure you didnt delete this part as thats bad)

The fact that you mentioned using ISO to burn the CD/DVD suggests its not legit, and yes there are issues associated with burning your own bootable OS disks, if your CD/DVD burner is not running at 100%(ie even slightly faulty) you can get missed data etc

i have been through all of what you said and have just borrowed a neighbours windows vista disk and still getting the same error 0x80070570.

I have completely deleted everything and there is no recovery if i boot without any cd or usb it says bootmng missing press cntrl+alt+del to restart.

if it says bootmng is missing then that means its looking for it on the HDD, you need to have it so it 'appears' there is no OS installed and to do that you need to set the boot priority to

first boot device CD/DVD

second, third and fourth boot device DISABLED

It will currently say/from 'stock' it says:

first boot device CD/DVD ROM

second boot device HDD

third boot device Floppy drive

when you set the first to CD/DVD rom and disable the rest, do not forget to SAVE and EXIT the BIOS

That error code that points at RAM is normally attributed to Win7 :)

But glad you got it sorted :)
