Can not eject my cd drive

Hi to all my problem that I have a Sony laptop model VGN-TX17GP and can not eject the drive with the key on the keyboard, but I can eject it from " my computer " by the mouse right click and eject.

Can any one help me to find how to activate the key of eject.

Hi and welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

Is the eject key a different colour? if so it may need the FN key to be pressed at the same time. Do you have the user manual that should have been with it when new?

 

Plus also has the key worked OK previously?

If the latter, it may be the key itself has stopped working and would possibly require a new keyboard fitting.
