Mokles Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I know you'll think this is such a stupid question, but do I have to take the back off my tower to connect my hard drive to an external hard drive? If not how, in idiots language, do I do it?:o Quote
Match Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 I know you'll think this is such a stupid question No question is stupid if you have to ask it, not asking it and getting things wrong would be the stupid option ;) Do you already have an External Drive? What is the make and Model of your Tower? Most in fact nearly all external drives that you buy from shops will connect to your PC by USB. but you can get some that will connect by an external SATA connection. Quote
Mokles Posted May 19, 2010 Author Posted May 19, 2010 Do you already have an External Drive? No, not yet. What is the make and Model of your Tower? Not sure, it was a self-build, but not, as you might have guessed, by me. Most in fact nearly all external drives that you buy from shops will connect to your PC by USB. but you can get some that will connect by an external SATA connection.I gathered this from elsewhere, but I just don't know how or where to connect it. Jelly Bean Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 An external hard drive comes encased in a hard case. They are usaly supplied with a power supply and a USB cable. You connect the flat end of the USB cable to the USB ports on the back or front of your computer. Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
