aaaach Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I have several portable firefoxes and I'd like to merge all of their histories into another portable install, without affecting their own histories. I tried using weave but it's not made for that and I constantly have to change whether it uploads or merges data since apparently it uses system wide settings which doesn't help when I have multiple firefoxes open. Plastic Nev Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I am not too sure, but as far as I can see it isn't possible. Histories are not like bookmarks which can be backed up and stored in another or new folder for use or copying to elsewhere. Sorry but unless someone else knows differently it is just the way Firefox works. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. aaaach Posted May 23, 2010 Author Posted May 23, 2010 I'd like to clarify that I did so using weave for instance but that simply was very uncomfortable. History is a file. Quote
Goku Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Hello Aaaach. Firefox History is stored in the places.sqlite file. Thus, I don't think you can really merge them into one file. I will try to find a way to do so but don't be too hopeful. -- Goku Quote
