Which for Ad-Aware & SpyBot, safe or normal mode?

I need an option on which is the best Windows ZP home mode to run Ad-Aware and SpyBot full scan in

safe mode, safe mode without network, or normal mode. Any information would be useful.

I always run in normal mode, I've notice some resident malware won't be

removed in safe mode because it's not active, if necessary (due to boot or

lockup issues) you can do an initial scan in safe mode, but there's usually

no other reason to do a safe mode scan.

Depends on the infestation you're trying to clean up, really. I usually do

normal mode first, then safe mode.

 

Note that your question really belongs in

microsoft.public.security.homeusers.....
