PC Won't Start....

Yesterday after using my pc, i shut it down, then later i came to boot it up again and it wont start up. I have tried putting a new fuse in the kettle lead and cleaned the hardware inside the case. Would this be a faulty PSU?

This could be a number of things, well two mainly if the fans aren't running

 

basically if the fans start up and you have led's lit on the motherboard then the chances are it's not the PSU, if you have none of the afore mentioned then it will most probably be the PSU, but in both cases it could also be the motherboard.

 

But their is only really one way to make sure with out changing it for a known working PSU

Do you get any beeps after switching on?

If you do - post the sequence here ( 1 long - 2 short for example )

 

No beeps is often indicating PSU / motherboard problems.

I get no beeps at all. My PSU is only 250 watt so im guessing thats the reason why its blown.

Depending on the spec of the PC dont assume that 250Watt is not enough.

As the others have already mentioned it could be the MOBO, have a check around the MOBO and look for any bulging or leaking capacitors near the CPU socket (these are normally the cause for MOBO failure)
