Guest Bhajan Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Hi, I have a domain called 'company.local' which uses Windows SBS 2003. Here I have 30 client systems, which use IP 192.168.62.X. Now, I have a branch office network which is 20KM far away which use 192.168.63.X. This network is connected to my head office domain with Cisco 2811 router. My problem is, I am not able to add the branch office computer (192.168.63.X) into my HO domain(192.168.62.X), But, I am able to ping, and I can access shared resources as well as i can get the desktop through VNC server as well. When I try to add into domain, it gives a msg " computer name changes : The format of the specific network name is invalid". I strongly belive that something has to be configured in the DNS. I tried adding host records manually, and trying NETBIOS name everything. I appreciate a help. Sooraj
