Hello,

for some reason my usb keyboard just stopped working.i virus scanned and nothing came up.When i Look at The driver I Get This message

 

Unable to load the driver for this device because a previous instance of the driver is still in memory. (Code 38)

 

Click the Search for solutions to send information about the device to Microsoft and see if there is no solution.

Hi Theo,Welcome to FPCH.

Open Device Manager and uninstall your Keyboard Drivers.

Reboot and install latest Drivers.

 

Scan with Malwarebytes.

Scan with GMER and post Log,so Malware Specialists here can check.

 

I have a feeling this could be a Rootkit causing this.
