Hi there,

I am getting an error trying to install printers from an AD print

server on my W2K and XP Pro client machines, it seems to work only if

users are local admins.

A policy is in effect on your computer which prevents you from

connecting to this print queue. Please contact your system

administrator.

What should I do? Thanks, T

See if the policy to allow users to add printers is disable or

enabled.

Hi there,

Policy to add/delete printers is not configured on both the local PC

and AD controller.

Thanks, T

Check the security settings for the printer on the print server. Set it

for print access for "Domain Users".
