URCHIN2009 Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Hi all members, recently I have installed Windows 7 (Home Premium) full package on to my computer, everything was going well until I attempted to set up the Media Center. During the set up, the system could not locate channel frequencies from my Freeview aerial, I uninstalled the aerial cable connections, and reinstall them and the same problem is still there. I have been thinking could the problem be in the software which I installed, as the TV tuner worked when I had Windows XP on my computer, Awaiting a reply if possible. Regards :- URCHIN2009 Quote
Plastic Nev Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Hi Urchin, I take it you mean a separate TV tuner card plugged into a PCI or PCIE slot on the motherboard? If it is of an older manufacture, in other words made before the introduction of Windows7 it is more than likely not compatible for the Windows7 operating system. Do you have full details of the card, make and model? if so a search may find updated drivers that may let it work on Windows7 but if the card is more than two years old I doubt it. Nev.
