Guest RJ Posted April 1, 2008 Posted April 1, 2008 Currently I have the beta version build 6001 and my Beta license is expiring in 7 days. I have go to my MSDN account and downloaded the server software from the site and have a new evaluation key. I have tried to change the product key on my existing installation and keep getting an error about the key not being valid. I have called and they are telling me they are having problems with windows Server 2008 keys, they giveme another and yet that one is not working. Does anyone have a suggestion for me short of reinstalling the entire system..?
Guest RJ Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 RE: Windows 2008 Server Beta license Expiring What now .? For all those who might run into this same issue here is how I resolved this...: Backed up server -- Ran installation of Server2008 Standard .. Choose Upgrade.. this then gave me the opportunity to change the key which enabled my system and the only thing I seem to have lost is Windows Mail. Which it seems was removed between the beta and the RTM. HTH anyone else with this issue "RJ" wrote: > Currently I have the beta version build 6001 and my Beta license is expiring > in 7 days.
