Unable to Create a Custom Default User Profile ?

Recommended Posts

Posted

Environment: Windows 2003 Terminal server, SP2

I'm trying to create a custom Default User profile following standard

procedure:

Created local user; logged in as such; customized and logged out.

Logged in as local Administrator; System Properties; Advanced; User Profiles

and selected the customized local user; clicked on COPY TO; Browse; and

pointed to the Default User profile

Here a got a warning that the 'Deafult Profile' will be deleted and I

selected OK

After a while I got an error message saying ACCESS DENIED ...

NOTE: I tried this on several Terminal Servers with the same result / error.

On the other hand, I did the same procedure on a few Windows Xp PCs without

any problem !?

Obviously, the procedure for the Terminal Servers must be different ?

Any idea/help ?

TIA
