Guest dougawells@gmail.com Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 Hi - I use Exmerge to archive users off the system. I have a number of Mac users as well that connects to Exchange. Entourage has no good archive system, so their mail boxes grow and grow. Is there a way to use Exmerge to archive off, say email that is older than 6 months old, then have it deleted from their box?

I'm setting up my reply to crosspost to microsoft.public.exchange.admin. Please remember to include your versions & SP levels of everything when you post in any MS server group, as answers frequently vary by version. Note that Exmerge is not really meant for archiving mail. If your company needs archiving, you should probably look into third party server-side archive products - you want to avoid PST files and client-side archiving whenever possible.

It'll delete mail, but you'll still need to archive using your method or a more elegant approach. -- Ed Crowley MVP - Exchange "Protecting the world from PSTs and brick backups!"
