Guest Westeban Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 My Screen Saver doesn't work, nor will the monitor turn off at the intervals I've set. I've examined the settings many times to make sure they don't conflict, and all is as it should be. I had this problem once before, and an HP Rep guided me to a place on Microsoft where I downloaded something to repair this. I've searched, but can't find it again without assistance. Thanks!

Guest elallen60 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 RE: Screen Saver, Power Settings, DVD player (XP Media Center) 1) Regarding screensaver. Switch to basic screensaver (e.g. Windows XP) and set time to 1 minute, then click apply. 2) Regarding monitor off. I'm running Media Center with SP3. Had similar problem. My monitor off settings got lost every time I rebooted. After searching, found this solution that worked for me. Set the monitor off time to 2 minutes, then do a 'save as' and save settings under a new scheme e.g. "My Power Scheme 2", then click apply. Wait the altted time and see if this works.
