Guest Sanjay Mehta Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Hi, I am trying to configure a windows 2003 domain controller which is also going to be a file and print server? What kind of hard disk configuration should I go for? I was thinking having two 72Gb's HDD's - Raid 1 (Mirror) for O/S four 144GB's HDD's - Raid 5 for Data Is this a good setup? I am thinking of either a DL 360 or DL 380? Thanks
Guest Anthony [MVP] Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Re: Domain Controller Config Yes. You can also partition the first array into two drives: the first with enough for the OS (say 16GB) and the second for other data. Guest Sanjay Mehta Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Re: Domain Controller Config Hi, Is 4Gb adequate memory for a DC which also acts as a file server for 100 users? The server would be a DL360 or DL380? Thanks
