corrupt pst outlook

My outlook has been rejecting emails, I think I may have exceeded my quota as I hadnt emptied my deleted files in a long time. Last time I clicked send/recieve, I re-recieved all the emails Id been sent in the last 5 months ie 1000's!

 

Does anyone have any suggestions???

more info is needed really, is this a work machine, is it on a domain.

what software are you using, is "leave a copy of the message on the server" enabled.

have you tried adding another data file,then swapping your mail delivery to that new pst.

If you are using outlook 2002 or lower, there is a maximum pst size of 2 gig.......

have you tried adding another pst,then pointing outlook to deliver mail to that.
