Hello,

I have a windows 2003 ENT x64 Server that has sharepoint 2007 installed on

it. The issue that I am having is page.sys will not remove it's self after

being moved to the D:\ drive. The registy entry under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\ Memory

Management says its on the D:\ drive. Under performance options its set to no

page on the c:\ drive. I have tried to manually delete the file but its

states its being used. I have looked on the D:\ drive and I have another

pagefile.sys. I have tried rebooting the server but it still will not remove.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

RE: Windows 2003 x64 ENT - Page file will not remove

Just a update to my issue. I worked with MS support and this issue seems to

be problem that MS was not aware of. The only thing that was found to be the

solution was to make sure both disks are either basic or dynamic. When there

is one disk that is dynamic and one basic the issue shows up. The funny

thing is that I have 20 other HP Proliant 2003 R2 servers that don't have

this issue and the disks are configured the same and the page file will move

off the C:\ drive. The 3 servers that I have the issues with are newer HP

Proliant servers built in the last 3 months. MS wants me to convert my C:\ to

dynamic to fix the problem...

Has anyone had any issues converting from basic to dynamic on the c:\ drive?

Thanks
