Wallpaper

So i have windows 7 and i can't change my background to any picture, all i can use is "Solid Colors" and when i try to use normal picture it just won't change , i tried to the walp. using some programs ( ACDSee) but it didn't work, so can any1 help me plz :S

Are you using Aero? What steps have you taken to add wallpaper? The method is somewhat different from XP which show on your profile.

Hi Inferect, a quick way to the panel or window you want, is right click on an unused bit of the desktop screen, then select "Personalize".

On the bottom you should have "Desktop Background" click on that, this should show you all the pictures you have in "My Pictures" select the one you want, you should then see the background change to that picture.

Click on "Save changes", this should bring you back to the personalized window and will show that picture as "Unsaved Theme".

click on "Save Theme" Give it a name in the box that appears and click "Save" that should be it done, just close the windows.

The easiest and simplest way is to right click on a picture you want to use and then select 'set as desktop background'

all of the ways you guys posted, didn't work, but when i borrowed my friends w7 and installed everything started to work smoothly

OK what version of Windows7 are you using and what is the Windows Experience Index for your machine (specifically for graphics.) If you are unaware of the numbers just type WEI in the run box and one of the options should allow you to check your index.
