Hi. Try a System Restore prior to installing "Tune up utilities" in Safe Mode.

Try to get into safemode and do a system restore from there. Restart your computer and as it begins to start up keeep gently tapping on the F8 key. It should take you to a black screen with a list of alternatives to boot. Simply use the arrow keys to select "Safe Mode" (Don't be concerned that the screen looks a bit distorted in size and that the colors are off. From your programs select "accessories" and then "system tools" and finally "system restore."

Hello Dinesh. This is due to a corruption in ntoskrnl.exe file that contains the boot screen for Windows XP. Try using the Last Known Good Configuration option and see if it helps or not.

If not, then I am afraid that a repair install is in order. Oh, and a little piece of advice, NEVER try to change the bootscreen of Windows. There are a million risks involved and BootScreen changers don't even cover one of them. ;)

Once booting start, select "Safe Mode" from the boot menu.

Scan your hard drive by running your antivirus software. If the program locates an infection, move it to your vault or follow the on-screen instructions. After program completion, if a virus was removed, attempt to reboot your computer and see if this clears up the problem. If not, restart your computer in safe mode.

Restore your computer to a previous point. Click on the "Start" button. Select "All Programs", "Accessories", "System Tools" and finally "System Restore". Choose a restore point on or before the last day your computer worked without error. Finally Reboot your computer to see if it loads correctly.
