Guest UselessUser Posted April 7, 2008 Posted April 7, 2008 Hi, I am having a little trouble with offline files. I have configured this succesfully for my user account, to make my home directory (H: drive) offline. However if anyone else logs into this PC, including local accounts, when they log out it attempts to synchronize my offline files, hence asks for my credentials.. I understand from reading the Microsoft KB articles, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/811660 that the offline folder cache is per machine and not per user, but why is this happening, is this a limitation of offline folders? And how does this work for multiple users of PC's??? Eg folder redirection etc?! Running XP SP2 all updated.

Offline Files stinks IMO, and I don't use or recommend it (esp on LAN-connected computers, as opposed to laptops, and esp on shared machines). Try posting in microsoft.public.windowsxp.general for more help, though, as this is really a client side thing. > > > Running XP SP2 all updated.
