Perfmon with Windows 2003 and SQL

Hello,

I am trying to capture some good I/O metrics for my Server using the

Physical Disk counter. We are trying to determine whether to purchase a iSCSI

San for SQL or Fiber SAN. I am not convinved that we need to spend the money

on a Fiber SAN and need some proof. I need to know some counters to measure

on the Phsical disk and something to compare it to.

Right now I am using

Avg. Disk Queue Length

Avg. Disk sec/Read

Avg. Disk sec/Write

Disk Reads/sec

Disk Writes/sec

Is there anything else I need? Also, where can I compare my averages and see

if I am over my averages?

Kev
