License Replication Problem

Hi,

Initially we had single Windows 2003 domain Controller with Per server

license mode (server1). After sometimes we changed the name of this server to

Server2 by using NETDOM. We changed server license mode to Per Device Mode

and have bought 30 CALs for per device. Problem is that license manager is

still showing both old and new name in Server View window. When I click on

old name ‘Server1’ I got message box ‘ access denied.’

How can I remove completely old license information?

We later added two more servers and setup as Per Device mode and install DFS

root on all three server and make all server Global catalog server.

2nd problem is that, other two newly added servers are not getting license

info from Original Server. I followed Event ID 213 and choose new license

server. Now two servers are replicating licensing information but third

server is not replicating license information and hence denying users access

to server. I don't know why 3rd server is not replicating license. I finally

decided to delete this server and install fresh copy. So I removed DFS root

and demote DC and then format this machine install fresh copy of windows 2003

R2 with per device mode and then install AD and make DFS member and now

getting same unlicensed usage message in license manager. How could I solve

this issue?

Sorry for too long description.

Thanks for reading.
