dancing0ut1aw Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 I have an Asus EeePC and netgear wpn824v3 wireless router and every time I try to connect wirelessly to the internet it tells me i have limited to no connectivity. I can hook up directly through the modem and get connection just fine. The netgear seems to be working fine. But something is wrong. It worked perfect yesterday and now today it just won't let me connect. Windows XP Please HELP Quote
Dalo Harkin Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Have you tried connecting to the router with a CAT5e cable as opposed to directly to the modem? how does your ASUS connect does it use a 'dongle' or does it have it built in? do you use software or the Windows settings to connect? have you unplugged the router so that it can reboot Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
aFixedPC Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 1. Reboot the router 2. Try re-entering the network key; if it's WPA then it will be case sensitive. 3. Check that your IP address is 192.168.0.x and default gateway is 192.168.0.1 and IP address is obtained automatically. 4. Try configuring the router to use no security as a test and see if that works. 5. Reinstall the wireless driver. Quote
