I have a client I am trying to have it join my network domain. It can

ping the server, however it cannot locate the domain. I don't have any

firewall on the server. What could be the problem?

Try setting static IP and DNS server addresses before joining.

And use the full domain name...

 

server.doman.local or whatever.
