Read of adress 00000001" When I click on "OK" the message goes and then the game tries to start up, but it just hangs there and will not start, any sugestion woukd be gratefully recived :D Quote
Dalo Harkin Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Have you tried to uninstall the game and reinstall it, access violations normally occur when you try and use a 'patch' also known as a no-cd/no-dvd Uninstall the game and then reinstall it as an administrator and see if its ok. proton Posted July 15, 2010 Author Posted July 15, 2010 I Have uninstall the game and reinstall it... still the same. I had my puter repaird and formatted a few day ago. I was wondering if I am missing a dll or something like that Quote
Dalo Harkin Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 If there was a file missing then it would show on the install and not proceed any further. Did you try and run the .exe as an administrator or just as you 'set as an admin' Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
Dalo Harkin Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Technically you will be (but if you run the install from 'THE' administrator account) you shouldnt get any access violations. right click on the game .exe and run as administrator (in W7 that is) for Vista right click on the game shortcut icon from either the desktop or program file location its installed and then select advanced properties and there are some options 'run as administrator is a tickbox' tick it and then apply and ok, then relaunch and see if it loads Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
