sound loss

Hi guys,

 

I have an Elonex pc running XP. I seem to have lost all sound. I have checked the volume control and have done scans, but have come up with nothing.

I have also done a system restore but to no avail.

Can any one tell me how to get my sound back.

To ask the obvious, have you checked the speakers, preferably on something else, and also are they fully plugged in?

 

Next is, can you have a look in device manager for us and let us know if there are any yellow or red exclamation or question marks next to the sound, video and Games controller.

To get to the device manager window, click start, then run, and type, or copy and paste into the box-

 

devmgmt.msc

 

Then click OK.

 

Once the window opens scroll down the list to find the sound, video, and games controllers and click the + sign to expand it, let us know what you find.
