hi

My graphics card is showing a speed of x1 in bios settings. Shouldnt it be X16? Its not performing in my games the way it should.. Any help? Please

Have you checked that you have the latest BIOS and drivers for the chipset etc?

 

If its showing as 1x then there is either something wrong with the way its configured in the BIOS or the card itself.

If the MOBO has more than one PCI-E slot and its in one of the slower slots it would still show as 8x

i seriously dont know why it is doing that. There's only one Pci slot. It didnt do this with my normal previous mobo. could it be the graphics part of the hybrid SLI?

I will check for Bios updates aswell.

Different Motherboards have their own 'weird and wonderful' ways of recognising everything, often with results like yours, the BIOS is not ALWAYS right regardless what it says, I still get a SATA device listed as an IDE, its just that the SATA sits in with the IDE controller on the board.

 

If its not causing issues then dont worry.

 

If it is which you say it is then check the basics such as updated GPU drivers etc first.

 

as the board features onboard VGA, have you disabled this in the BIOS if you are running an add in card?
