I have found myself locked out of my Compaq PC. I had it so it was asking for my password everytime i switched on my PC. I wanted it to stop asking me for a password and switch straight on. So i thought i was doing the right thing when i deleted the password. Nope. So now the PC comes on and STILL asks for the password but won't let me in because the password that ocve worked no longer does because i deleted it :(

How the heck do i get back into my own PC??

If you deleted your password it is quite possible that if you just enter nothing, leave the password blank, and click the box to proceed it will simply continue to load. If not you have to understand that no one here is going to help you circumvent password protection. Advice given to the innocent can be used just as easily by the guilty. It is unfortunate that you are one of the innocent and are stuck but I am sure you understand my point.

As Barry said, if you removed the password, then just leave the field blank and try to log in. It should allow you to. :)

From then on, we can work on solving your initial issue.

what is the OS that you are locked out of ??? if it is XP there is a way to get back onto the system

1). load up the computer to the welcome screen

2). press ctrl - alt-delete twice (this should change your logon screen to something different

3). from there log in with the user administrator and the password leave empty

Hope this helps
