In all honesty I wouldnt bother buying new.

If you are looking for a 'true' server then I use some of these 2U Rackmount SERVER Dual CPU AMD Opteron 250 2.4Ghz on eBay (end time 04-Aug-10 10:41:28 BST) and there is a BIOS update available for W7 or Server 2008

I have 3 at the moment, you DO need ECC RAM though, they come with 2x AMD Opteron 250 2.4GHz cores, well you can see the spec (these are the best ones on ebay as they have 4x SATA on the board)

Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)

Asus P5K premium black pearl

4GB OCZ Reaper 8500

260GTX
