Some people will slate my opinion, but I think teachers are of more value than bank managers, so they should be paid more. I would say they should be afforded the same status and pay as doctors. Teachers look after your intellectual health as opposed to your physical. Their impact from 'day one', on you is life-long.

 

In light of this, an impartial view would be that all learning is good (even Mcdonalds A Levels). Reading books by Herman Hesse is as welcome as reading ones by Barabara Cartland.

 

Personally speaking, I think that this and a whole host of other academic qualifications are a load of codswallop! Like Barbara Cartland's books.
