Guest NETCRAMMMER Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 I am receiving the following error when trying to extend a dynamic disk. (see attached error) The error reads: The selected volume was originally created on a basic disk and cannot be extended. Only volumes originally created on dynamic disks can be extended. I need to increase the size of 2 (F & G)partitions on this disk. I have 69GB of unallocated disk space at the end. I also have (on another disk ) over 130GB of unallocated drive space. How can I rezise these partitions? TIA!

Buy another 500 GByte disk, partition it the way you want it, then copy the data across. Don't make it a dynamic disk unless you have a good reason to do so - most partition managers won't touch them!
