pc wont allow me to delete a windows media file

have attempted to delete many times but told other person or program is using the file. file was downloaded from bearshare. pc also starts to slow down any time i try to delete it. pc running win xp. im a complete beginner, any help would be appreciated

make sure bearshare is not running.

try downloading unlocker from http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

this will unlock files that are in use,then you should be able to delete it.
