You're CEO of MS. What would you do?

I would:

 

 

- warn shareholders of a dip (dive) in stocks

 

- buy 5 or 6 Linux companies (hopefully ubuntu among them) combine - "win-ize"

 

- stop all work on IE - use mozilla - offer them best of - ie tech (open ie)

 

- open sourse win media / silverlight / all api's

 

- new ad company

 

- get 500 fonts for web- (or buy corel - to offset web only design slant = expression)

 

- ensure to keep just enough of* winmedia / win UI / kernal / propietary - but open sourse the rest = help

 

- CLOSE most offices / stop building: empower workers to work from home - impliment state of the art video conferencing

 

- work towards 0 offices within 5 years

 

- build MS Computer - force oems to carry it as baseline "to beat"

 

bla bla..

 

i dunno... daunting task.* Oballmer has been doing good.* but can he do better?* could you?
