Guest john Posted April 19, 2008 Posted April 19, 2008 I am trying to change the IP address of my printer, but I get the message "Cannot change IP address because printer is in use"". I have tried unplugging and plugging the printer back both power and cable. I have rebooted my server, all to no avail.I cannot print at all and always get the message "Network printer busy" when I do that. Any ideas? Would appreciate any input about this.

What is giving you that error? Windows or the printer? If Windows, delete the printer, change the IP physically on the printer through it's display setup screen, then re-add it with the new IP. If the printer itself is giving you the error, find out how to reset it to factory defaults, search on Google for that printer model on how to change it's IP, or call the manufacturer if still having problems. -- Regards, Ace This posting is provided "AS-IS" with no warranties or guarantees and confers no rights.
