Hi All

Anyone help me to convert mov files to xvid free prog preferred

I have used Virtualdub in the past it is a free program

Free-Codecs.com :: Download VirtualDub 1.9.9.32817 : VirtualDub is a video capture/processing utility

instructions on how to use it

AVI 2 DivX

I have some MOV files on a stick and want to chang them to divx.

DivX latest version has many conversion tools built in, check that first

Hi Bob, I found this one some time since and is great for any type of conversion, called "Any Video Converter" and is a free download from here-

Free Video Converter - Any Video Converter Free Version - convert video to any formats, avi to MPEG, avi to MP4, flv to MPG

And yes I have used it to convert MOV to other formats with no problem, just be aware it is not very fast and takes some time in converting, especially if the file is of some length or size.

However, a recent look and XVID doesn't seem to be one of the available outputs, however there are many other usable formats available within it.

Thank you all for your help fairly certain I have sorted it now I will of course let you know if more help needed.

It looks like Free Video Converter - Any Video Converter Free Version - convert video to any formats, avi to MPEG, avi to MP4, flv to MPG.

 

I am certainly playing xvid files on my new tv.
