Adding custom icons to the command bar of ie7 on Win2k8?

Hello,

I'm trying out Windows 2008 and so far it seems to run much faster than

Vista SP1. I seem to be able to run almost everything I can with Windows

XP but I can't figure out how to add my custom icons back to the toolbar in

IE7.

I've installed this in the past on all my systems by creating a folder

called c:\install\iebuttons and I have about 10 urls with icons that I put

in the command bar of IE.

I have registry files I click on and it creates the shortcut I want - i.e.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet

Explorer\Extensions\{3B296460-5FFE-47e0-B37A-AD8029A6EF8C}]

"Default Visible"="Yes"

"ButtonText"="Google"

"HotIcon"="C:\\install\\IEButtons\\google.ico"

"Icon"="C:\\install\\IEButtons\\google.ico"

"CLSID"="{1FBA04EE-3024-11D2-8F1F-0000F87ABD16}"

"Exec"="http://www.google.com/search?as_q=+&num=10&hl=en&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=lang_en&as_ft=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=m3&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=&safe=images"

However when I've added all these registry entries, go to customize the

command bar in ie - they don't show.

Can someone tell me what I need to differently? Thanks!

I'll try and find a newsgroup for Win28K in case this should go there.

I got help from the IE group from Victor Krammer

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\

works like a charm!
