alex12345 Posted August 26, 2010 Posted August 26, 2010 Hi there I am new to these forums. I would like to swap my Intel core 2 Quad with a core 2 duo for better performance, but I am not exactly sure how to do this. Both Motherboards are LGA 775 and support both processors. The present core 2 Duo and motherboard combination has been together for about 2 years now, whereas the quad core is from a dell that is less than one year old, so I am just unsure if they would be "baked in". I am just wondering how I should take them out (special cleaner of some sort?) and then how I should put them in the new motherboard (cooling paste?). I just don't want to screw it up because I need to have two computers at the end! Thanks in advance! :D Quote
