I have really tried to make this work, before coming here, reading a lot of

the documentaion from MS, Netopia and others, but I seem to be missing

something.

The Network:

Netopia 3300 series router, 5 Static IPs available

xx.xx.xx.137 is GW xx.xx.xx.138-142 are avalable to me

Server (Main)

Server 2003 and Exchange 2003

PDC

DNS Server

DHCP is on another server, but will be moved here next.

2 NICS

#1: currently enabled with internal IP (192.168.0.4) and routers internal IP

as Gateway

#2: currently disabled, but planned to enable with xx.xx.xx.138

GW of ??.??.??.?? (Do I use the Routers GW?)

(I have opened the appropriate ports for OWA/Exchange access also)

When I contact Bellsouth (BSN), they keep wanting to change my LAN subnet to

255.248. Did it once, lost all conectivity to the router.

BSN wants me to change the subnet to 255.248. If I was on DHCP from them,

that would work. Since I use an internal subnet of 255.0, I don't see how I

could connect to the network through them.

Server 2 (to be ISA)

Server 2003

Pending ISA installation

2 NICS

#1: currently enabled with internal IP (192.168.0.4) and routers internal IP

as Gateway

#2: currently disabled, but planned to enable with xx.xx.xx.139

GW of ??.??.??.?? (Do I use the Routers GW?) to allow connection for a

planned firewall/proxy once ISA is installed. Of course, that is down the

road AFTER I get the VPN working.

I have an office in Central Florida, Netopia 3300 series, with static IP's.

3 users, with a Brother MF Printer (on the internal IP network)

Currently DHCP is enabled, issuing the 192.168.1.XXX range.

I am thinking that I should use the Static IPs issued to me, and that would

allow the printer to be used as an IP based printer so my VPN users can have

access to it, even form home.

Also need for some road warriors to be able to connect to get to files and

email (OWA will be fine from their notebooks)

I have enabled IP Passthrough to the PUBLIC.IP.138 IP in the router.

I can ping it from the office.

But, when I try to go to it via port 80 or 25, nothing.

The goal?

To allow my Central Florida office to connect to our Exchange box (mail,

public folders and calendars) and to be able to be mapped to our Data drive

for file access. Prefer a domain log in connection.

And to allow our road warriors access to mail/data files via "public"

locations.

Looking for some help, and/or simple reading help docs. Anything else we

need to answer for help?

Thanks

I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill. Setting up a VPN

is fairly simple and does not require black magic. Have a look here

and post again if you have further questions:
