Pressing Delete in Outlook causes a problem

I have one user who has the same problem repeatedly. She's logged into

Outlook 2003 on TS, presses the delete key while trying to edit an email, and

she gets the Windows Security Box from the local computer. The same as if

she had pressed Ctrl + Alt + Delete. If she logs off TS and immediately logs

back on, the problem goes away for awhile (an hour, a day, whatever..there's

no rhyme or reason).

She works at multiple workstations on TS and this is the only one giving her

this problem. I work on the very same workstation frequently, in TS, and

NEVER have the problem.

Any help is appreciated.

RE: Pressing Delete in Outlook causes a problem

I've seen this behaviour on old terminal servers.

Example: When I did Remote Control, sometimes the key's I used to disconnect

where still active. To disconect I used ctrl + alt.

When the user pressed delete (later on the session), the security box came up.

Then I advised the user to log off and log on again to see if the problem is

gone. After this action the problem was gone.

So, now we need more information on your situation.

The problem probably is that there are key's active.

(bad keyboard, bad terminal: if you use terminal's, give the user another one)

Sound weired, but maybe it is a hardware failure of the keyboard.

Give the user another keyboard and check if the problem is away.

Cheers,

Yuri
