Hi,

Server 2003 this box is a member of my domain. When I try to add domain

users to local administrator group or add domain users to folder share

permissions,

I cant do it the only location listed is for the local machine and I cant

get the domin to be included in the listing of locations......

I can use the network places /entire netowrk to browse the entire domain

There is no difference if I log on tothis server as a local administrator on

the local machine of if I log on as the domain admin on the domain

thanks for any ideas

You'll need to be logged into the domain to do this anyway, AFAIK - but

once you have, check that your IP config lists only your internal DNS

server(s), that your DNS suffix is correct, and then that you don't see any

errors in your event logs indicating a communication problem with AD.

What, lil old me? You'll make me blush. I'm a slug, myself, if you must

know.

Hope the advice helps.

Me? No, never was. I do love the site, though. Maybe you're getting me

confused with someone else...

Good - as long as it's the internal DNS IP. :-)
