nadia Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Hello, I suppose we all have certainly one thing in commone and that is having a problem PC!!! I have been quite happy with my PC and Vista for over a year and suddenly everything changed, strange behaviour, delay in boot up, drivers were not recognised, error messages would show up, etc. I tried to fix most of the problems but I still have problem with boot up. After the boot up the text is displayed on the screen (white on black screen), then the cursor jumps on the left site of the screen and remains there and then nothing happens. I try Ctr-Alt-Dlt couple of times until I can get to the Boot menu which gives me two options, HDD or DVD/CD boot. DVD/CD never reacts and goes back to the black screen but if I mange to get the boot menu and press HDD then eventually the Microsoft start up logo shows up and it takes about 6 moutes to start the program. I took all the unnecessary programs out of the startup program but it still takes forever to start. Any idea what could this be??? looking forward to hear some suggestions. Thanks Quote

RandyL Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 You should backup all your files immediately. It sounds like your hard drive is failing. Quote We are all members helping other members.
