Changing the IP and the Name of TS

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I intend to migrate a W2K TS, that is also File Server, to W2K3 TS new

hardware, but I want the migration doesn´t cause any impact in the process.

First, I will install the new W2K3 TS with a different name and IP from the

W2K existent.

Then, after everything is configured (licencing server, profiles) in new

W2K3 TS, I will change the IP and server name to the same IP and server name

old W2KT TS, and deactive the old W2K TS.

Is there any problem to do that? Is the correct way?

Thanks.

Luiz
