millarski Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Hi everyone. I'm new here and hope this is the right place to post this. I am trying to download an official patch for Football Manger 2010. The problem is that the download progress reaches a certain % level then just freezes. The % stays the same and the actual figure for whats been downloaded stays the same. I've tried getting it from 3 seperate sites and the same problem occurs. After a while i get a message saying that the connection to server has been reset. I am using a dongle from 3. I have excellent signal strength as i am only 2 streets away from a 3 tower. I also have 15Gb download a month which is around 500Mb a day. As i only do general browsing 95% of the time i never even come close to this. the patch is 180MB. I am getting really irritated by this. I need the patch to fix bugs in the game as they are affecting the gameplay and my enjoyment. Any help is appreciated cheers Quote
Dalo Harkin Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 It would seem that its an error with the patch itself. if its stopping at the same place on all 3 sites (you will normally find that the 'file' is only mirrored from the official site anyway) check with EA or whoever the developer is on their website and see if there is an issue listed and a fix Quote Intel Q6600 @ 4Ghz (Watercooled)Asus P5K premium black pearl4GB OCZ Reaper 8500260GTX Join Free PC Help - Register here Donations are welcome - here PC Build We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. After all, no one knows everything and you may have the answer that someone needs.
Jelly Bean Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 As your using a 3 G dongle have you tried using someone elses computer to download the patch and transfer using a USB pen drive or disk to transfer to your computer? Quote Rwy'n ceisio fy ngorau......................
millarski Posted September 13, 2010 Author Posted September 13, 2010 Dalo - thats something I hadn't considered. I will look into that. Jelly Bean - I think i'll do what you suggest as it'll confirm wether or not its a problem with my computer or with the file like Dalo thinks. Thanks for the responses guys Quote
