Guest Victor Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I have over 900 print queues and I need to disable the bidirectional support for all of them. Since I do not want to do this one at a time. :( I'm trying to find a shortcut. I thought I would find where it's kept in the registry, export the data, modify the values and import. :) Problem: I can't find where this is kept. i've looked all over the HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print and done multiple searches in the registry with no luck. Help!! thanks...

In other words, it's a different key for every printer model. To find out what it is, export the key for a particular printer (including all subkeys), then disable birectional printing and export the key again, this time to a different file. Now use fc.exe to compare the two files.
Guest Victor Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 Re: Bidirectional registry key Thanks for the suggestion. I did an export with and without the setting. I used WinDiff to check differences in the reg files. The only differences were spaces. any other thoughts?
