Guest Marcos Benites Posted April 24, 2008 Posted April 24, 2008 I'm having problem configuring Report Server 2005 on Windows Server 2008 Enterprise. After I installed SQL Server 2005 Reporter Server I execute "Report Services Configuration" and in "Web Service Identity" I can't change the "Aplication Pool" to "ReportServerPool" in "Report Manager" field. In field "Report Server" the change is OK, because of this the Report Server site doesn't work, if I use "Classic .Net Pool", the site doens't work either, but the error is different this time says that the web service is unable to access security information, I tried to change the ReportServerPool to classic but no result, tried to change the service account in the ReportServicePool, no result either. The error when I try to change to ReportServerPool ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.WMIProviderException: An unknown error has occurred in the WMI Provider. Error Code 800708AC at ReportServicesConfigUI.WMIProvider.RSReportServerAdmin.SetWebServiceIdentity(String applicationPool) If I change both fields, Report Manager and Report Server to classic the Web Service Identity is OK, but the site shows an error msg stating "The report server is not responding". If I change both fields to DefaultAppPool the service identity is OK, but the site shows a 500.23 error msg and change the service account to Network Service. How can I configure Report Server to work with IIS7.
