Jonny5isalive Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Hi all, been a while since I've been on, good to be back. When on a website, I often want to contact the company by email, when I click on the email link it opens MS Outlook Express, which is no good to me. How do I set things up to go to my Yahoo email account automatically. It's fine if I have to sign in to Yahoo afterwards, just a pain in the bot having to copy, sign in to email account, then paste all the time. Many thanks, Jon-Paul. Quote
ErikAlbert Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 (edited) Did you try this already ? 1. Click Start 2. Click Set Program Access and Defaults 3. There are alot of options for all kinds of programs Maybe you can install Mozilla Thunderbird and setup a Yahoo account and make Thunderbird as your default email program. Outlook Express is out-of-date and belongs in a museum. RandyL Posted September 15, 2010 Posted September 15, 2010 Hi again Jon-Paul. First of all To set Yahoo mail as your default email you'll have to have the Yahoo Toolbar installed. When installing it you might get the option to set Yahoo as the default. I know this used to work for me on previous versions of IE so I assume it will for IE8 too.
