Each time I restart my computer the 'Wave' volume level on the Windows volume controls is set to a really low level. I have to go into 'Sounds and audio properties' everytime i boot up to sort it out. It's not a critical problem, just really annoying.

I've got an M-Audio Delta audiphile soundcard, but I've uninstalled this and the problem has persisted with whatever device is set as the default sound device.

I've also uninstalled any program that maybe setting the volume low when the computer boots up.

Is there a file that I can llok at that will tell me what is happening when my computer is booting up? I thought maybe it would be the autoexec.bat file but when i tried to view it with the editor in DOS, nothing was displayed.
